Can you access the internet in general from a browser?
If the internet is not accessible, it is likely that everyone who is using the same Internet Service Provider (ISP) (e.g. AOL, Freeserve) as yourself is experiencing similar problems.

Which browser does your PC have?
Vision2learn has been designed to work with the following browsers:

Internet Explorer 4.0 and above
Netscape 6.0 and above

If an earlier version of the browser is installed, get the latest version from the Microsoft or Netscape websites.

Which operating system does your PC have?
Vision2learn has been designed to work with the following operating systems:

Windows 95
Windows 98
Windows ME
Windows 2000
Windows NT 4.0
Windows XP

Does the browser setting have cookies enabled?
To use vision2learn you must enable cookies. To enable cookies please click on the help button on your web browser or click here to open the system checker for guidance.

Does the browser display the message 'Do you want to open this file?' when you attempt to login to vision2learn?
If this message appears when starting up the vision2learn application, Flash 6 is not installed. Click here to download the Flash plugin.

Does vision2learn display the message '0% loaded. Please wait' continuously?
Vision2learn requires that Flash 6 has been installed on the computer (it will not work correctly with Flash 5 or lower). If the percentage loaded does not increase within a reasonable timeframe; e.g. five minutes, it is likely that the computer that you are using does not have Flash 6 installed.

Check if an earlier version of Flash has been installed. To do this, select Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Check that the list includes Macromedia Flash 6.

If the PC has an earlier version of Flash installed, proceed in accordance with the point above.

Check that the browser settings are set up correctly.
Check that the Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins setting is correct configured.

To do this, select Tools, Internet Options within the browser. Select the Security tab, and click on the Internet icon. Then click on the Custom Level button.

If the setting Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins is disabled, reconfigure the browser so that it is enabled.

Do you have any Anti-Popup/Anti-Virus/Firewall software or additional Internet browser toolbars (from Yahoo, Google, etc.) installed on your computer?
Firewalls, Anti-Virus, Anti-Popup and other types of security software can block the functionality of the website and therefore stop the induction questionnaire or course material from appearing on your screen in a new window. If you are experiencing this type of problem, it is advisable to temporarily turn the setting on this type of software to low or completely off and load up the Vision2Learn website again (remember to restore your virus protection software settings after you leave the Vision2Learn website). This kind of software could be installed on your computer as Anti-Virus software; Firewall software or additional toolbars you have downloaded. Alternatively, you could press and hold either the Alt or Ctrl key on your keyboard, whilst clicking the left mouse button on the session to allow the window to by-pass the popup-stopper.
