Adele Connolly – Practical Emotional Intelligence Skills
Adele Connolly is 22 years old and lives in Oldham near Manchester. She works for the Royal Navy and in her spare time she enjoys swimming,
walking, socialising and working with children.
Adele found vision2learn through an advert and decided to find out more. She was immediately attracted to the idea of studying online at her own pace and in her own time. Adele said:
"The vision2learn online courses are so convenient. I was my own boss, and could still work while studying."
The Practical Emotional Intelligence Skills course has really helped Adele in her job. She told us:
"I work a lot in schools with students aged 16 and under and can now understand their emotions more. I utilise my empathy and initiative, and know how to manage my own emotions. The course also taught me how to trust people more and gain trust from others."

Adele found some aspects of the course challenging, but persevered with the help of her online tutor.
"Time-keeping was the most challenging aspect of the course for me. It’s best to set yourself a routine if you can. My tutor helped me through my course and was available to answer questions – she also gave me a nudge along when I was behind."
Adele is keen to continue learning and has recently enrolled for vision2learn’s Team Leading NVQ. She is a fantastic example of what you can achieve when you take a proactive approach to learning.
